Thursday Monthly walks

Supporting the well-being of Peak District Farming Communities

Walk leaders: Pauline, Kay and John

Time: 1:15pm meet for a 1:30 start time

Duration: ~90 minutes covering about 2-3 miles

Walk description: A gentle monthly afternoon walk with the opportunity for coffee and cake and a good chat afterwards! Our walks are short and steady on good surfaces but may involve some stiles or ascents/descents over a short distance.

In the event of extreme weather conditions, please contact the Farming Life Centre to confirm the walk is going ahead.

• Nov 27 - Cromford Canal – a return visit to enjoy the wildlife along this pretty canal. Meet in the car park at entrance to rugby club. Coffee and cakes in the Cromford Mill site
• Dec 11 - Meet at Bakewell Agricultural Centre for our traditional Christmas walk followed by refreshments at the River and Roast cafe
• Jan 22 - Monsal Trail – meet in car park at Quackers, Thornbridge Hall for a lovely winter walk up the trail with refreshments in the café
• Feb 12 - Tissington Trail – meet close to Herbert’s Tearooms in Tissington village for a walk along the beautiful Tissington Trail followed by refreshments in the café
• Mar - No walk
