Fully accessible, dementia friendly stroll/wheel and talk
Walks for all October to December 2025 (pdf 0.3MB)
We are working in partnership with the Peak District National Park and Forget-me-nots group in Bakewell/Hathersage run by the MHA Communities Group team to bring you two led walks a month in fully accessible locations with good car parking, facilities and cafes.
Walking Works! Walking is for everyone. It’s free, simple and gentle on the body. You can do it on these very short accessible, wheelchair friendly walks.
Everyone is welcome to join these very short, slow strolls which will enable those living with dementia and carers supporting loved ones to enjoy conversation, being outdoors and sharing experiences. All strolls start and finish at a great cafe so bring some money for a cuppa and more of a chat afterwards. Fully accessible toilets available.
We guarantee a warm welcome and a programme of walks designed specifically for you at your pace
If you need someone to support you, please don’t come on your own as unfortunately we can’t offer any additional support. Please contact us and we will try to accommodate you.
