Decision
The Planning Inspector appointed by the Government to decide the appeal regarding William Davis Limited's application for over 400 homes on Gritstone Road, Matlock, issued her decision on Monday 4 August 2025. The Inspector, Joanna Gilbert, dismissed the appeal. This means that outline planning permission for this development will not be granted.
This outcome means that the Inspector has upheld Derbyshire Dales District Council's original decision on 28 March last year, to refuse outline planning permission for the proposed development.
